Friday, October 23

For Friday, please have your quote completed in hand type quote about reading or words for the library (you can use one of the three ways of working - final must printed on the computer). Have this completed on 11x17 and ready to view in class.

Please print off research and visual brief inspiration for the JUFF. One visual brief for the cover, one for the interior type and one for the website. Please think of the design as Journal of the Union Faculty Forum (no one uses JUFF abbreviation really) besides us and the editorial team.

Here are a few examples of past covers to get your juices going. Look to other sources than just academic journals because you find them pretty dull and dry. We will hit this hard on Friday.

Monday, October 10

Hi guys,

I'm so sorry. No class tomorrow. My boys are not feeling well after the retreat. A stomach flu has ripped through their day care taking out teachers and students left and right. Thank you so much for all of your help with them after the retreat. I could not have done toddler and baby duty without your wonderful help. You guys are wonderful! Make sure that you are keeping healthy yourselves. Need to be in tip top shape for fall break. Those of you that will be not present on Wednesday and had planned on critiquing on Monday if you could please drop by your book before you head out on break. You can present after we get back that Monday. We will still have critique on Wednesday. We will cover book binding for an entire fun day when we get back from Fall break so make sure to bring your bone folders then.

Thanks again! So grateful for y'all. Be safe those of you that are heading out and the rest of you see ya on Wednesday.
