Thanksgiving and after

Make sure you turn in your job folder before you head out. Please bring your items to shoot. We will have a quick demo of the soft box on Monday after break to go over shooting for your portfolio. You will get the brief for the final on Monday as well. Have a wonderful thanksgiving break! Be safe and I'll see you after break!

Please have all your files PDFed and ready to go. Know who is after you to pull up as you close out your files. Please have this ready to go. You will be docked points from your presentation if you don't pull up the person following your presentation.

USE THE AV MUTE BUTTON on these. Will help with slickness of presentation.

I will be keep close watch on the clock. If you see me gesture to my fake watch on the arm means you have one minute to wrap up. Only 7 minutes a piece on presentation to get everyone in the hour. I will do an air circle with my finger to tell you when time is up. Don't forget to end with questions.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

Please have more roughs for your cover and website for Wednesday. We will look these over in class. Have them printed for your job folder. JUFF critique on Friday. Make sure you are ready to go:)

Also we need to be thinking about putting together a video for the Christmas party for graphic design emphasis. We will brain storm ideas on Wednesday!

Friday, Nov. 15

Please have thumbnails, proposal and visual brief ready to go in your job folder for Monday. You will need to have thumbnails for both books and website. Think about all aspects of this and workday on Friday.

Don't forget AIGA 5:30 on Thursday night. A72. We will be talking about poster sale totals, internships, etc. Be there!

Friday, Nov. 8

Class will be delayed until 2:10. I have to teach freshman seminar course in the PAC from 1 to 2 pm. Bring your book making stuff, we will have a quick lecture with pop ups and go over the coming project. If you have not gotten checked off on your bookmaking stuff make sure that you bring your materials.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

Please bring a sheet of contact paper cut out with a stencil that you would like to print with. If you have screens from upper classmen please bring them. You will need an several images printed on card stock to print on. See examples below from last year's class down below.

The photo in the background on these were printed and the color was applied with a screen print stencil. Be ready to get started first thing in class. WE WILL MEET IN THE STUDENT GALLERY SPACE INSTEAD OF THE DMS LAB FOR CLASS.

Also if you have not turned in your books for a grade. Please have them ready to look at for Wednesday. Make these nice please...will appreciate having these in your portfolio.

Monday, November 4

Have your two books (hardcover and flag) finished for the start of class on Monday. We will start on Screenprinting have an image that you would like to Screenprint. Bring your exacto and screen to class.
