Critique on Wednesday

Hey guys,

Critique on Wednesday. Have a 350 word summary sent to my e'mail before class. We are going to test out this shorter version and see if we can fit the amount of information in that we need. Watch out for those personal pronouns and try to make this condensed but effective. Be sure that you label it correctly with LastnameFirstname_Project02.doc / ex. EckleyMelinda_Project02. Be sure to watch for craftsmanship. I will be checking your original files for your grid as well as the final for this project so make sure that it is saved on your terminal in the typography folder with your name on it. Label it Project02.indd.

Friday, September 24

Make sure that you have your panels measured from an actually dummy of your book. Practice those folds and assembling before you try it out with actual illustration board. You are going to be a much happier camper with practice. Please have your panels measured and built in an InDesign document to size and start working on importing your information in to a grid that you are working on. Please have a working file ready for Friday. This will be due next Wednesday for critique.

Wednesday, Sept. 22nd

Finish those letters. Have them ready to go...and use for Wednesday class. Also have your folds measured out and your document ready to be sized for the panels of your fold...make a dummy. Life is going to be so much better with a dummy at your size. Plan plan plan...:) Have an ornamental pattern made out of one of your letters. Have this digitally so we can check it out in Wednesday class. Also please bring your illustration board, ruler and extacto knife to cut things down. Please also bring your bookbinding handout to class for Wednesday. See you then!
